AACOMAS GPA Calculator

Estimate D.O. application GPA views: Total, BCPM, BCP, and All Other coursework.

AACOMAS GPA Calculator

AACOMAS converts transcript grades to numeric values, multiplies by attempted credits, and divides quality points by credits. Quarter credits are officially converted to semester hours.

CourseCategoryGradeCredits
Total GPA-0 credits - all entered graded credits
BCPM GPA-0 credits - biology, chemistry, physics, math
BCP GPA-0 credits - biology, chemistry, physics
AO GPA-0 credits - all other coursework

How AACOMAS GPA Calculator Works

AACOMAS is the centralized application service for D.O. medical schools. During verification, it calculates GPAs from transcript-entry data using AACOMAS numeric grade values. Those values may differ from your institution's display GPA.

This estimator separates coursework into Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and All Other. That gives applicants a quick view of Total GPA, BCPM GPA, BCP GPA, and AO GPA without manually rebuilding a spreadsheet.

For the cleanest estimate, enter every graded college-level attempt from every institution. Non-graded credits such as pass/satisfactory marks usually do not enter the GPA calculation. Quarter-hour coursework should be converted according to official AACOMAS rules before final comparison.

AACOMAS GPA = total quality points / attempted graded credits

Enter every graded attempt

Application-service GPAs often differ from campus GPAs because repeated, forgiven, or transferred coursework may still matter during verification.

Classify courses carefully

For health-profession services, the subject category can change the science GPA even when the overall GPA stays the same.

Keep the official report final

Use this page for planning and spotting problems early. The official GPA is the verified value produced by the application service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does AACOMAS count A+ as 4.0 or 4.3?

AACOMAS converts A+ to A with a 4.0 numeric value. It does not give 4.33 for A+.

What is BCP GPA in AACOMAS?

BCP means Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. It is a narrower science view than BCPM because it excludes Math.

Are pass/fail credits included?

Non-graded credits such as pass, satisfactory, and AP-style credit are generally not included in GPA calculations because there is no A-F grade value.

Is this official?

No. The official AACOMAS GPA is the verified value calculated inside the application service. This page is for planning before or during transcript entry.
