Stop reading your YorkU GPA like a 4.0 GPA. A 6, 7, or 8 means something different here.
York University's undergraduate calendar lists A+ as 9, A as 8, B+ as 7, B as 6, C+ as 5, C as 4, D+ as 3, D as 2, E as 1, and F as 0. York also says the percentage ranges are guidelines, while the letter-grade system is the fundamental assessment system. That means the safest input is the letter grade York reports, not a guessed percentage conversion.
- Sessional GPA: the average for one academic session.
- Cumulative GPA: all counted York courses, credit-weighted.
- 4.0 conversion: useful for outside applications, but not York's official GPA scale.
