At HCT there is no A+ — a plain A is a full 4.0, and that is the ceiling.
HCT's scale runs A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, and so on down to F = 0. There is no A+ and no D−. Get the grade points right and your semester GPA — and the cumulative GPA (CGPA) that drives scholarships and honors — matches the registrar's to two decimals.
- Use the real HCT grade points (A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B− = 2.7…).
- Weight every course by its credit hours; heavier courses move the CGPA more.
- Track your CGPA against 2.00 (standing), 3.00 (scholarship), and 3.75 (Distinguished Honors).
