At SQU, an A (90 and above) is the highest grade — there is no A+.
Sultan Qaboos University grades on a plus/minus 4.0 scale that starts at A = 4.0 and steps down in the .7/.3 pattern to D = 1.0, the lowest passing grade — there is no D− either. Marks map to grades through fixed bands (90+ is an A, 60–62.9 is a D), so your SIS transcript and this calculator speak the same language.
- Use the real SQU grade points (A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3 … D = 1.0).
- Weight every course by its credit hours; a 4-credit course moves the GPA more.
- Keep your cGPA at 2.00 or higher — below it means probation.
